About AfterGlow:
AfterGlow Candle Co was founded in Los Angeles, California in 2018. Our company features premium 90% coconut wax, that is infused with fragrance and essential oils. Our candles are handmade in small batches, and poured individually to give you a quality candle that not only appeals to your olfactory senses, but has a great burn quality as well. Our candles contain no paraffin waxes, include <10% soy waxes, and made with phthalate free fragrance and essential oils.
Why Coconut Wax?
Coconut Wax is made from the oil and meat of organic coconuts, which makes this wax natural and biodegradable. Typically, most candles purchased from a store are made from soy or paraffin wax, which when burned, both release chemicals into the air that you may breathe in. These harmful chemicals, consist of carcinogens and petroleum, and research shows that these chemicals have been linked to health issues such as asthma, cancer, and eczema. AfterGlow Candles are a healthy alternative, which allows for a clean burn as it is free of those hazardous ingredients.
About the Owner:
Owner, Kasarri Loper, was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She attended public school for PK-12th until attending the illustrious Tuskegee University, a private school in rural Alabama. There, she majored in Occupational Therapy, earning a Master of Science degree with a minor in Business Administration. She returned home a few years after graduating college and began her candle making journey.
